Amazing Cordoba

feb 2024

One of my favourite cities in Spain

As my wife has several work meetings each year there over the years i have seen most of the city and walked around the cobbled streets seeking out old bars and restaurants. The patios are famous and open to the public for viewing, just take a look at the pics below..

Córdoba is a city in the southern, Cordoba in the  Spanish region of Andalusia, and the capital of the province . It was an important Roman city and a major Islamic centre in the Middle Ages. It’s best known for La Mezquita, an immense mosque dating from 784 A.D., Right in the centre of the city featuring a columned hall and amazing mosaics.

There are some lovely little patios that are hidden in the back streets and many small bars to eat and drink .

Book your patio visits here..

Davids tip.

if you go to the side door of the Mezquita at 9am you can get in for free as its only open for 1 hour at that time but after that you need to pay.

There are 3 great hotels right in the centre walking distance to everything and we have stayed in all 3 and they are great. i normally use booking.com to get best prices.. stay in the centre if possible as driving is very difficult .
